Description
Handle easier hole drilling jobs with a single operator or add a second pair of hands for tougher conditions with the Earthquake® Dually™ Earth Auger Powerhead. It’s the industry’s first-ever earth auger powerhead designed for both 1- and 2-person operation. The Dually is ideal for everyday use on construction sites or the farm, and is the powerhead of choice for a variety of hole drilling tasks such as building decks, installing fences, soil sampling, mailbox installations, planting trees and many other outdoor projects. It boasts a 52cc, 2-cycle Viper® engine that provides more than enough power to bust through extremely compact soils and clay. A rugged transmission contains long-lasting ball bearings and hardened steel gears that will withstand a lifetime of heavy use. Welded steel Jobsite™ handlebars fully encase the engine, providing superior protection from drops, falls, and everyday abuse. Comfortable foam grips limit vibration and ensure a user-friendly operating experience. Equipped with two independent throttles, an operator can control the engine from either the single or 2-person operating position. Each throttle provides variable speed control, allowing for slow control when starting a hole, and then ramp up to full power as you drill deeper. A splined auger connection point adds additional strength and features a Quick Connect Coupler™ that lets you change the auger bit without the use of tools and eliminates having to line up cumbersome through bolts. (auger bit sold separately) For added versatility, a Spline Shaft to Smooth Shaft Adapter is included, allowing compatibility with all 7/8" smooth-shaft earth auger bits. A built in torque arm cradle allows for the addition of an optional Earthquake torque arm (sold separately) help absorb the blows of hitting rocks, roots, and hard-packed soil that are associated with using earth augers—reducing the impact on the operator by up to 75%. Torque arms also double as a handy transport device when traveling to the jobsite. Backed by an industry leading 5-Year Limited Warranty and a U.S.-based support team, the Dually Earth Auger Powerhead will perform for years to come.
